De Stromberg carburateur van mijn 1981 W123 200T heb ik eens nader bekeken.
Er is een gedeelte waardoor de koelvloeistof loopt waarin een bimetaal is verwerkt. Dit bimetaal bedient mechanisch een schakelaar. Ook zit aan dit gedeelt een stekkertje dat naar een ander gedeelte van de carburateur loopt en een tweede draad loopt richting interieur.



Blauwe vierkantje: stekkertje koelvloeistof, deze meet temperatuur?
Oranje vierkantje: wat bepaalt deze schakelaar gestuurd door bimetaal?
Gele vierkantje: Waar gaat deze naar toe? Wat bepaalt deze?
Groene vierkantje: Waar gaat deze naar toe? Wat bepaalt deze?

Dit wil ik graag weten, omdat mijn motor afslaat wanneer deze warm wordt. Na afkoelen start hij weer perfect. Het zou kunnen zijn dat hij verzuipt. Dit zou kunnen natuurlijk als de voelers 'denken' dat de motor koud is terwijl hij in werkelijkheid op bedrijfstemperatuur is.
