Zoals je ziet is het de bedoeling dat de onderste lijn van de kap recht aansluit aan de onderste lijn van het spatbord. Het probleem is dat de meeste huidige eigenaren van de auto's dit niet mooi vinden, de bovenrand van de kap moet gelijk lopen met de bovenkant van het scherm, en dus draaien ze de stelpootjes uit.
En natuurlijk is er geen enkele wet die dit verbiedt te doen bij je eigen auto, maar het is wel de reden dat je motorkap zo zwaar opent.
