Was niet zo’n heel erg probleem want het valt normaal niet op. Wat vervelender was, onlangs zag ik wat roest rondom het rubber. Dus de boel maar eens los gehaald.

Deze rubbers zijn niet meer leverbaar bij Mercedes. Heel wat andere bedrijfjes afgebeld en gemaild. Uiteindelijk op Ebay.de iemand gevonden die de rubbers nog leverde. Ik weet niet hoe Mercedes dit oorspronkelijk leverde. Het rubber zit namelijk geplakt op een lange metalen strip. Ik kon alleen het losse rubber te pakken krijgen. Dus dat betekende ook het oude rubber strippen van de metalen strip.

Nieuw rubber erop geplakt.

Gelukkig viel de roest wel mee. Eigenlijk alleen een beetje oppervlakteroest. Dus de boel goed schoongemaakt, beetje opgeschuurd en een spuitbusje lak in de juiste kleur en een beetje blanke lak er tegenaan.
