Bij deze winterse temperaturen loop ik tegen een vervelend probleem aan:
Uit de twee ventilatierooster bovenaan in het midden van het dashbord blijft zeer koude lucht komen ondanks het feit dat ik de bedieningsschuif op "dicht" heb gezet.
Nou heb ik, omdat ik de auto pas heb, nog geen ervaring met het ventilatiesysteem en vraag ik mij af of ook bij de stand "dicht" het de bedoeling is dat er (enigszins) frisse lucht daardoor in de auto komt.
Mocht het zo zijn dat de schuif om de ventilatie op dicht te zetten niet goed werkt, hoe kan er dan bij komen om die te repareren?
Overigens werkt de normale verwarming wel, ook al is de lucht die wordt geblazen op de heetste stand slechts "warm".

Verder vraag ik mij af wat jullie ervaringen zijn bij deze extreme temperaturen om de auto in het interieur goed op temperatuur te krijgen. Ik krijg de motortemperatuur amper op de 60 graden op de meter nadat ik toch al gauw 50 km. met de auto heb gereden, is dat normaal?

dat je motor temp. te laag is ligt waarschijnlijk aan je thermostaat, als die open blijft staan wordt je motor en dus je kachel nooit goed warm, zou ik z.sm. vervangen. wat de koude lucht betreft, waarschijnlijk sluiten de kleppen die je met de schuif bedient niet goed want het moet geheel afgesloten kunnen worden. Nou dan zou ik maar eens gauw een andere thermostaat er in gaan zetten, die is of kapot of er zit er geen een meer in.
Motor hoort gewoon ook bij dit weer op temperatuur te komen.

Op welke temperatuur zou de motor moeten staan?

Ik rij met deze winterse temperaturen een afstand van ongeveer 50 km. naar mijn werk over voornamelijk rijkswegen met een snelheid van 80 km/u. De temperatuurmeter geeft tussen de 40 en 60 aan....

80, maar goed, dat had mijn 200D ook die ik nog te koop heb staan op speurders.
Ik rij op het moment in een 300D maar de 200 was ook aan een verse thermostaat toe, kost maar 18 of 19 euro en zit er in 15 minuten in.

Die schuif die de 2 middenste ventilatieroosters van koude lucht voorziet, er kan een beetje vuil tussen zitten, vroeger ook eens gehad en een keer of 10/20 bedient en het was voorbij. Eerlijk gezegd heb ik ze nu putteke winter ook open staan in de garage

Wanneer ik de schuif van de ventilatie dicht heb staan heb ik hetzelfde probleem er stroomt dan dus nog wat koude lucht langs. Ben benieuwd hoe het probleem is opgelost. Het moet toch op eenvoudige te stellen zijn lijkt mij. Wie weet het antwoord?? (liefst met wat ondersteunende foto's).

Mijn probleem bestaat ook nog steeds Edwin. Wie weet heeft er iemand een tip hoe je de klep zo gemakkelijk mogelijk kunt bereiken, dus zonder dat je het hele dashboard los hoeft te halen.

volgens mij komt er altijd koude lucht uit de 2 middelste ventilatieroosters (draaibare rozetten voor extra ventilatie, blz 22 handleiding)
de roosters links (bestu. kant) en uiterst rechts moeten wel warm worden
en de temperatuur..zit er uberhaupt wel een thermostaat in?
zonder thermostaat wordt het idd rond de 60 graden

Jammer dat je het "probleem" nog niet hebt opgelost. Dan zullen we nog een verder moeten zoeken!!

Frankie de verwarming etc functioneren prima. Het gaat erom dat er uit de middelste twee ventilatieroosters nog steeds een beetje koude lucht stroomt terwijl de schuif helemaal dicht geschoven is.

Ik heb ook ergens op het forum gelezen dat je er bij kunt wanneer je het binnenwerk van het handschoenenkastje verwijderd. De vraag is of je het dan ook kunt bijstellen. Kan iemand hier iets meer over vertellen?

Toen ik de mijne kocht zat er helemaal geen beweging in de schuif.
Waarschijnlijk was er een balpen door een gleuf bij de voorruit naar binnen gevallen. Deze hield de klep van de schuif tegen. Ik heb hem met veel moeite via de onderste uitstromingsgaten kunnen verwijderen.

Is het niet zo dat er uit de middelste roosters altijd koude lucht komt?
Bij veel auto's uit die jaren was dat vrij normaal. Ook bij mijn W124 kwam er uit de middelste roosters alleen koude lucht.
Als je een W123 of W124 hebt met airco, dan kan er inderdaad warme lucht uit de middelste roosters komen.
(tot nu toe alleen gezien bij de W123 en W124 met climate control, weet zo niet of dat ook is met manuele airco)

Er komt inderdaad altijd koude lucht uit de middelste ventilatiegaten. Het probleem is dat er ook nog koude lucht uit komt wanneer je de schuif dicht hebt staan. Op de een of andere manier wordt het dus niet goed afgesloten. Dat lijkt me niet de bedoeling en zou toch af te stellen moeten zijn. Ik kan hier niets over vinden.

Ah zo! Ik heb weer te snel gelezen zie ik Er zit een klep achter je dashboard hiervoor die de roosters afsluit. Bij mij was er een pinnetje uitgeschoten, waardoor hij altijd dicht stond en er helemaal geen lucht uit kwam.
Ik heb het dashboardkastje er uit gehaald en het rechter ventilatierooster verwijderd om er bij te kunnen. Wellicht zit hier ook het euvel bij jou?

(de foto is gemaakt door het het middelste ventilatierooster(rechter opening). Bij mij zit er aan het stangetje een vacuumpotje, waarschijnlijk is dat bij jou mechanisch) Het kan zijn dat het schuimrubber van de klep die het kanaal afsluit dan niet helemaal goed meer is.

Ah dank je. Je zegt dat je het rechter ventilatierooster er uit hebt gehaald. Ik neem aan dat je de rechter van de twee middelste roosters bedoeld? Kun je die er makkelijk uit halen?

Inderdaad de rechter van de twee middelste. Je kunt het beste beginnen door het handschoenenkastje eruit te halen. Vervolgens kun je met je hand naar binnen naar het rechter rooster. Daar zit een rubberen "hoes" omheen, deze kun je voorzichtig een stukje los maken van zowel de kachelunit en het rooster.
Aan de achterkant van het rooster zit een ring, deze kun je losdraaien (wel even het rooster aan de voorkant vasthouden, zodat hij niet meedraait)
