Is het differentieel van een W123 (sedan,coupe) het zelfde als die van de S123 (station)?
Ik wil graag een lagere overbrenging hebben op de auto en kan er een van een sedan overnemen. Maar past deze dus op de S123 station?

maar denk er wel om wat van verhouding je er onder gaat zetten die van een combi is echt wel anders dan die van een sedan.
vertel even wat er nu onder zit word het snel duidelijk als je de goeie er onder zet.

Er zit nu als het goed is een 3.58 overbrenging onder en ik zou er een 3.46 onder willen plaatsen. Ik heb het idee dat hij nu met een 4bak redelijk wat toeren (Geen toerenteller in de auto) draait bij 120.

Edit: Het verschil tussen die twee is heel erg klein. Ik denk dat een 3.07 overbrenging beter zou zijn. (even op basis van 3100 toeren)

als het goed is zit er nu een 3.58 onder.
ja dat is leuk weet je het zeker.
eerst even kijken wat er onder zit weet je het zeker.
de verhouding staat op een linker schuine onder hoek het is een lang nummer maar de laatste 3 moet je hebben staat een punt tussen.

Toch was Mercedes al een stapje verder dan de meeste concurenten, die deden het met 3 versnellingen.

Ook de 5de versnelling op de handbak was nog geen gemeengoed, maar een (dure) optie in de tijd van de 123.

Ne 2800 heeft koppel en vermogen genoeg. Zal alleen iets slomer worden. Ne 5bak is natuurlijk een beter optie. Maar zeldzaam en moeilijk compleet te vinden. Ik heb het geluk dat deze bij mij geïnstalleerd werd af fabriek.
The white rider heeft indertijd een 3,07 diff gemonteerd bij een 280E automaat. Deze kon nog altijd mee met het verkeer.
De 3,07 dif vindt je terug op de 300 turbodiesel.
In de W126 hobbyhut wordt binnenkort een 300SD gesloopt. Mogelijks past dit differentieel. Je zou de steek van de hardyschijf eens moeten nazien.

De 5bak heeft een eindoverbrenging van 0,87 ipv de 1 op 1 van de 4 bak handgeschakeld
Als ik als 5e versnelling op het 3.58 differentieel zou hebben kom ik uit op 124 km er uur op 3100 toeren.

Verschil:
3.07 differentieel, 4bak met 1 op 1 ratio in de 4 en 3100 toeren = +/- 120 km per uur
3.58 differentieel, 5bak met 0,87 ratio in de 5 en 3100 toeren = 124 km per uur

eigenlijk kom je dan in grote lijnen op het zelfde neer. Denk dat een 4bak ietsje slomer optrekt maar wellicht verwaarloosbaar?

Onder mijn 280TE zit in ieder geval een 3.58 differentieel
