Voor het opknappen van mijn 200D heb ik 2 vervangende voorschermen nodig, omdat de originele te slecht waren. Nu heb ik tot nu toe nog niet echt net originele schermen kunnen vinden bijv. op de sloop. Nieuwe originele wordt wel erg kostbaar dus nu is mijn vraag: Wat is jullie ervarig met imitatie schermen van bijv. van Wezel?

Is de passing echt dramatisch of zijn echt kleine details waar het verschil hem inzit?

voor de echte puristen blijf je het altijd zien als er immitatie is gemonteerd. De bolling is wat anders, verder wat kleine details bij de aansluitingen.
aangezien je toch al zo lekker bezig ben zal ik als ik jou was lekker bakken en braaien aan die oude voorschermen, koop je evt. de vervangdelen, of complete immitatie schermen en zet je delen over. Die immitatieschermen kosten inderdaad niet veel t.o.v. originele schermen.
wil je snel klaar zijn zou ik gewoon die immitatieschermen kopen en monteren, vind je dat lassen leuk en heb je geen haast zou ik echt aanraden die originele schermen te redden.

Het 'probleem' is alleen dat ik de schermen best heb moeten 'misbruiken' om ze er af te krijgen. Dit waren nog de originele en bij de vroege W123 zitten die echt met centimeters dikke kit vast. Aan 1 kant was een brander nodig om de kit te verwarmen, aan de andere kant is het originele scherm in stukken geslepen om eraf te krijgen.

De imitatie zijn ook best redelijk passend te maken. Van Winparts krijg je denk ik Gordon schermen. Deze zijn wel OK te krijgen.
Ik zou ze goed afbramen en eerst op de auto passen en hier en daar wat bijbuigen en kloppen.
Daarna zeer goed schuren en goed in de (2K?) grondverf zetten. dan afkitten en cvan binnen met overspuitbare anti-steenslag inspuiten. Zo ook het gedeelte onder de voorbumper.

Via de duitse VdH club hebben ze nu ook heel goed passende imitatieschermen uit Italie. ook een goede optie. Deze zijn uitvoerig getest op goede pasvorm.

Allen, bedankt voor de (uitgebreide reacties). Ik zal imitaties bestellen en deze zo goed mogelijk passend maken en behandelen en spuiten. Resultaat zal tzt te vinden zijn in m'n project;)
