De achterzijruiten en de c stijl doen iets aan de latere W126 sec denken, maar verder, had je van pinin farina een elegantere koets verwacht.

De achterkant valt nog mee, op een andere foto gezien, maar voor de rest klopt het van geen kanten. Je zou verwachten ' best of both worlds', maar dat valt beetje tegen. Wel fijne motor erin. Destijds de waarde van 8 Rolls Royce'ses. Elke weinig geproduceerde MB wordt duur, ben benieuwd wat deze gaat doen in de markt.

In deze wagen heb ik nog een keer een rondje gereden. Hij was toen van een oudere man die een autohandel had in zuid limburg. Echt een italiaanse auto met lederen stoelen en hemelbekleding. Wel met de 6.3 liter V8, die had wel koppel!

Het is een ontwerp wat later de RR Camargue geworden is.

Ik vloek er nog een keer overheen: Ik denk dat onze Beierse ontwerpvrienden het als voorbeeld hebben gebruikt om hun 635 of 638 coupe uit eind jaren '70 te ontwerpen.. Ook diezelfde schuine lijn van opzij..

De 6 serie coupe van het merk met het blauw witte Logo had een sierlijke lijn, die klopte van elke hoek bekeken.
Dat is een ontwerp die ik persoonlijk ook nu nog kan waarderen. Om de 6 serie op 1 lijn te zetten met het hier getoonde ontwerp gaat mij echt te ver.
Als je geen fan bent van een coupe vorm, is het niet op zijn plaats om alle coupe’s onder 1 noemer af te kraken, Jan.
