Hm. Volgens mij had ik die constatering ook ergens anders gelezen JeePee, dit heeft bij mij echter weinig effect.

Ik denk dat mijn raam sinds de nieuwe geleider niet ver genoeg omhoog gaat. Zal m er weer eens uit wippen en een stukje hoger zetten. Wellicht helpt dat. En ja... Wat ik heb gedaan is de binnenbekleding van de deur eraf, de raamsnor iets meer druk geven door een dun rubber stripje (in mijn geval een lange oude ruitewisser,.... ) zo te bevestigen, dat de raamsnor meer tegen het raam aanduwde.

Tegelijkertijd, ,...ik was toch al lekker bezig, meteen extra isolatie aangebracht in heel de deur, vooral bovenin, zodat die deur qua stilte in de beurt komt van een w140 deur,....nouja,...bij wijze van,....

Bedankt Swen! Achteraf had ik 'm toch liever in een donkere kleur gehad, maar ach. Je kunt niet alles hebben.

Qua kleur, smaken verschillen maar je heb een zeer mooi kleur. En niet rap vuil.
Pa had ooit eens een zwarte W123 240D gehad. Pracht wagen, maar elke week mogen wassen. (8 jaar lang)
Dus voor mij geen donker kleur a.u.b.

En ja.. Dat is dan wel weer het voordeel van een lichte kleur en het nadeel van een donkere. Voordeel bij donker is dat het chroom en aluminium er zo lekker uitspringt ach ja.

Nogmaals bedankt trouwens voor je ingeving mbt de elektrode-afstand voor de bougies, de M110 draait nog steeds lekker schokvrij!

Zo. En weer een gereedschapssetje erbij, geen idee of ie daadwerkelijk voor de W123 is, maar goed... Het zijn wel allemaal MB-sleutels.

Zoals al te lezen viel, heb ik onlangs de voor- en achterruitrubbers laten vervangen. Vanzelfsprekend omdat het flink vochtig was in zowel de cabine als de kofferruimte. Enfin... de auto is nog weer waterdicht, maar wat schetste mijn verbazing? Een week nadat ik de matten had laten drogen en de vloer droog gemaakt had, lag er weer een plas onder de matten van de achterbank. (Nondeju! Waar komt 't nu weer vandaan??)

Toen maar eens de achterbank weg getrokken én jahoor... de isolatiemat die daaronder lag was doorweekt. Ik vermoed dat het 'oud' water is, wat de mat nog in zich had van toen het oude rubber erin zat. De mat dus maar even eruit gehaald en laten drogen in de zon.

Dus... tip van de dag: lekkage bij achterruit? Ruitrubber vervangen? Til de achterbank op en maak alles droog! Grote kans dat je hier door het lekke rubber een half zwembad hebt liggen.

Enfin, een tijdje geleden een nieuw koplampglas gewonnen op eBay. De rechter zat helemaal onder de witte putjes van steenslag en straatrommel. Ook meteen even voorzichtig de reflectoren schoon geveegd met een zachte doek.

De andere kant ook maar even schoongemaakt van binnen en buiten. Het lijkt alleen alsof dat glas een beetje vergeeld is... Naja.. Maar eens uitkijken naar ook een nieuwe voor de linkerkant.

De grillen van de lampen moet ik toch ook nog een keer opnieuw spuiten. Voor nu ziet het er in elk geval alweer wat frisser uit.

Mooie wagen, verlang weer naar een coupe, ze zijn zo mooi

Hij wordt steeds mooier Robin

Bedankt heren! Hij staat nu helaas bij de garage, hopelijk ben ik straks eindelijk van dat geratel bij koude motor af.

Pff nou inderdaad Hans. Binnenkort de boel nog maar eens af laten kitten, nu helaas geen tijd voor.

Een paar posts terug was te lezen dat ik last had van een vervelende tik/ratel bij koude motor. Dat is nu opgelost! Het bleken de riemen te zijn, opmerkelijk aangezien deze er nog geen half jaar / 10.000km op hadden zitten. Enfin, ook meteen de motorsteunen laten vervangen en de boel draait weer zoals het hoort.

Dat laatste zal ook wel een mooie cent gekost hebben, ik las rare bedragen laatst, zo van die

Ja... Mercedes laat tegenwoordig goud door z'n rubber mengen. Wist je dat niet? Ach... het verschil in comfort maakt het grotendeels goed. Langzaam maar zeker wordt de wagen weer zoals ie moet zijn.
