Een mens moet wat met z'n vrije tijd hè? Bovendien, zo leer je de buurt nog eens een beetje kennen. Mensen komen zo nu en dan nog weleens een praatje maken als je bezig bent of als je 'm gewoon al ergens parkeert.

Het kleurnummer is 930 Silberblau Metallic. Hoewel de kleur zeker wel een lekker diepe glans geeft, springt het chroom er niet echt uit. Dat vind ik soms wat jammer. Vooral omdat de 'donkere' kleuren dit wat meer hebben. Ach ja, het is daarentegen wel een kleur die ik niet zo heel vaak zie. En het mooiste van de auto, tsja... dat ligt toch wel onder de kap, maar dat hoef ik jou niet te vertellen natuurlijk.

Bedankt voor je advies voor het monteren van het rubber op de bumper. Ik keek er als een berg tegenop en had zonder je tip afwasmiddel gebruikt. Echter het dubbelvouwen werkte perfect, zelfs met het oude originele rubber. Klusje was binnen een kwartiertje af. Ik heb afgelopen weekend een trekhaak geplaatst en om die reden had ik het rubare moeten verwijderen.

Kijk eens aan! Leuk dat je het even vermeldt, scheelt toch weer een hoop gedoe als we allemaal even onze "eureka-momentjes" delen.

Vandaag mezelf eens kwaad gemaakt op het interieur van de auto... dat was na een dagje 500km rijden wel een beetje een rijdende vuilnisbak geworden.

Gewoon simpel en eenvoudig een beetje Sorbo met lauw water en een zachte doek. Stoelen goed schoonwrijven en met het dak open de boel laten drogen. Heerlijk... dat gevoel van een schoon stuur en pook.

Ziet er weer goed uit Robin! Ik ken het gevoel

Dat interieur deftig poetsen schiet er dikwijls over, bij mij is het al meestal eens snel met de stofzuiger er langs en de rest is voor de volgende keer. Tot je het weer eens te gortig vind natuurlijk en dan zit je met een borsteltje en de compressor alle hoekjes en kantjes te poetsen

Zo... weer eens wat gedaan aan de sloep! Als de auto in drive staat voor het stoplicht dan loopt ie wat onrustig, in N of P merk je er weinig van, maar de onmiskenbare trilling van een misfire is toch echt present. Op zich slaat de motor er niet van af, maar ik vind het gewoon vervelend. Daar komt bij dat de auto steeds slechter begint te starten als de motor langer dan een kwartiertje stil gestaan heeft. Tijd dus om wat onderdelen die onderhevig zijn aan slijtage te vervangen. Wellicht is niet alles slecht, maar liever in 1x goed dan 6x de hele boel open gooien, dus:

- Nieuwe injectoren met rubbers etc..

De bougiekabels had ik er vorige week al op gezet, dat bracht weinig verschil, maar goed... de oude waren keihard, dus dat zal een kwestie van tijd geweest zijn voordat die de brui eraan zouden hebben gegeven.

Vervolgens voor gisterenochtend een afspraak gemaakt om de benzineslangen bij de pomp te vervangen, dat schijnt op zich geen spannende klus te zijn, maar ik had er zelf gewoon geen zin in. De lucht van de benzine alleen al... Naja, zo gezegd zo gedaan. Afgereisd naar Bergambacht, waarna na een bakkie koffie en even trots het versnellingsbak verhaal rondgebazuind te hebben, Jan weleens onder de auto ging kijken. De lucht in met dat ding.

Toch wel handig zo'n brug! Maar ja... waar laat je zoiets he? Dat gooi je niet zo even op de zolder neer als je 't niet nodig hebt. Ach ja, prima lui daar, dus wat maakt het ook uit. Zaken als ophanging ga ik me toch niet aan wagen en dat geklieder met olie heb ik eigenlijk al helemaal geen zin in. Dus wat zeur ik ook eigenlijk...

Enfin, de brandstofslangen bleken eigenlijk prima in orde en lekten niet met draaiende motor, dus die werden uiteindelijk niet vervangen. Wel werd bevestigd wat ik zelf al dacht... de brandstofpomp begint maakt voor het mooie wat teveel herrie en wordt redelijk warm. Die loopt dus op zijn eindje. Iets voor in de nabije toekomst dus.

Uiteindelijk nog wel even de olie laten verversen en de CO weer goed laten zetten. Die stond weer eens op een procentje of 4. Goed, het is alsnog lager dan de 12 waar ie de eerste keer op stond, maar zo zie je maar weer... ongemerkt vervalt die klier onder de motorkap toch weer in z'n oude zuippatroon!

Voor het afstellen had het mooi geweest als Jan de injectoren nog even vervangen had, maar dat was vrijwel niet te doen. Het blok was na een rit van 50 min veel te warm daarvoor. Geeft niet, na een peptalk van Jan was ik er van overtuigd dat me dat zelf ook wel moest lukken zodra het blok afgekoeld was.

Eenmaal thuis gekomen was na drie uur de motor eindelijk afgekoeld (dat duurt ook altijd echt eeu-wen) en ging ik maar eens een poging ondernemen om de injectoren, bougies en bobine te vervangen. Op zich geen lastige klus, maar wel een vervelende omdat er altijd wat benzinedruk in het systeem achter blijft. Zodra je de injectoren los draait, komt er dus het e.e.a. aan benzine uit (althans... als je injectoren nog goed zijn). Gelukkig voor mij (naja... gelukkig?) waren bij vier van de zes injectoren de leidingen kurkdroog. Nou ben ik geen specialist, maar het klinkt een beetje alsof die vier injectoren dus lekten. Wat op hun beurt wellicht ook het slechte 'warme' starten veroorzaakte?

Goed, maakt niet uit. Het vervangen van de injectoren zelf is vrij eenvoudig bij de M110, gewoon het bevestigingsplaatje losdraaien aan de bout (die uiteraard muurvast zit) en je trekt zo de injectoren met afdichthuls eruit.

Dan leg je het oude naast het nieuwe.. en dan zien die oude injectoren er toch wel een beetje zielig uit. Toegegeven.. het zegt niets over de toestand van de injector zelf, maar toch.

Voor de injectoren van cilinder 5 & 6 moest er even een apparaatje van het brandstofsysteem verwijderd worden. Ik meen dat deze de benzinedampen naar het luchtfilter voert, maar dat weer ik niet zeker. U ziet hem hier bij de blauwe doek. Hoe dan ook, het ding zat in de weg, dus weg ermee. Een tip: gooi hem niet al te enthousiast aan de kant, want dan zit je onder de benzine (er zat best nog aardig wat in namelijk). Hoe ik tot deze tip kom, kunnen jullie vast en zeker wel raden . . .

En starten maarrr! Oh nee.. accu ligt nog los. Even vastzetten en jawel hoor, de startmotor gaat rond. Maar wat ziet het oog door den spleet van den motorkap?!? Een benzinefontein.. HO! Stop. Tsja... heel de motor onder de benzine... lekker dan. Gelukkig was er weinig op straat terecht gekomen. Wat bleek nu? De benzineleiding naar de koudstartinjector was ik vergeten vast te draaien

Die ook vastgedraaid. Even gewacht tot alle benzine van het blok verdampt en weggewaaid was. En starten maar. Althans... hij had het er moeilijk mee. Na een seconde of vijf-zes sprong de 6-in-lijn weer tot leven! Even wat moeizaam, maar toen de benzinedruk weer terug was liep hij weer als een zonnetje.

En een amateuristisch sprintje vanaf z'n 2. Niet per sé sneller, maar wel soepeler dan eerst. Deze motor staat niet echt bekend om z'n vermogen onderin, maar met de oude injectoren ging je van weinig vermogen onder de 3500 toeren naar veel vermogen erboven. Dat lijkt nu een wat soepelere curve te zijn.

Dat is dus mooi weer allemaal vervangen, welke bougies heb je gebruikt en was er iets mis met de bobine? Of heb je die puur preventief vervangen?

Mooi verslag weer Robin! Ik heb zelf ook last van slecht startende motor als die warm (starten met koude motor gaat altijd goed). Ik zit er ook over te denken om om die reden de injectoren van mijn m110 te vervangen. Heeft dit bij het 'warme motor' probleem opgelost?

Yep! Hij start weer als een zonnetje op alle zes de cilinders. Het vervangen is doodsimpel en als je goed zoekt kun je ze voor een goede prijs krijgen.

De bobine heb ik meer uit voorzorg vervangen, gewoon om hem uit te sluiten en omdat ik ergens gehoord had dat dit een misfire-probleem tijdens stationair oploste.

Voor de bougies heb ik de NGK BP6ES gebruikt. Ik had Beru besteld, maar heb deze gekregen. Ach.. Ze doen het prima hoor. Alleen rekening houden met het metalen kapje dat op de schroefdraad voor de bougiekabel zit.

De NGK BP6ES heb ik ook in mijn /8 zitten ze voldoen uitstekend.
Deze worden op diverse omzettabellen aangeraden voor mijn Benzje.

Leuk verslag! Mijn 280E starte ook slecht als hij warm was en probleemloos als hij koud was. Oorzaak was dat de druk in het brandstofsysteem te laag was. Bij het aanzetten van het contact hoorde je ook overduidelijk de brandstofpomp voor 1 seconde draaien. Deze heb ik laten vervangen door een nieuwe originele Bosch pomp welke ik op ebay had gevonden. Hier had ik ook al een nieuwe originele Bosch accumulator gekocht en benzinefilter. Wereld van verschil. De pomp hoor ik niet meer en hij start nu probleemloos.

Hoe klinkt die brandstofpomp? Waar moet ik opletten?

@Tony, ja klopt, maar ik ben niet zo heel erg van de Aziatische merken.. Naja goed, in principe doen ze het prima.

@Pwokke bedankt! Tsja, dat kan natuurlijk ook. Het kan allemaal bijzonder mooi werken, maar als een van de schakels roet in het eten gooit, dan merk je het direct. Wat dat betreft is het wel een gevoelig injectiesysteem, dat K-jetronic.

@JeePee, je hoort hem - zeker in de kofferbak - duidelijk zoemen.

Net even getest en bij het contact maken hoor ik inderdaad 1 seconde de brandstofpomp zoemen, daarna schakelt tie uit. Lijkt dus te werken Iemand ervaring met aftermarket injectoren? Of toch beter kiezen voor de originele van de mb dealer? Zijn wel aanzienlijk duurder...

JeePee, sorry voor de late reactie. Ik heb de injectoren bij steronderdelen vandaan. Waren gewoon Bosch injectoren. Dezelfde als die je bij dealer krijgt. Enkel in een ander doosje.

Verder vandaag even mezelf uitgeleefd in de wasbox. Wat blijkt? Ik dacht dat m'n bodem/wielkasten zwart waren van de tectyl. Niets is minder waar! Onder een centimeter straatvuil komt de originele blauwe MB-coating naar boven.

Heb ook de injectoren laten vervangen. Er stonden er 2 droog dus rij nu weer op 6 cilinders. Rijd weer lekker pittig
Wielkast ziet er nog netjes uit! Geen roest zo te zien?

Ah! Ja kwa vermogen merkte ik weinig. Meer dat het allemaal wat "soepeler" reed.

De binnenkant van de wielkast ziet er inderdaad prima uit. De wielranden daarentegen zien er alleen echt niet uit..
