Daar is de bootjes meneer weer In de boot ligt een OM621. Er zit alleen geen typeplaatje meer op, dus ik weet niet welke OM621 het is.

En da's best lastig bij het bestellen van onderdelen. Vraag 1 bij onderdelen winkels (ook bij MB) is, "wat is het kenteken?".

Wie o wie heeft tips, hoe kan ik uitvogelen welke versie het is?

Er staat her en der wel 621 op met een nummer maar geen 910 912 914 oid. Wel een bouwjaar, is uit 1963.

Oja, nog iets, ik zag op een site van een diesel 'specialist' dat de OM621 20W20 olie zou moeten en klepspeling in 0,2mm en uit 0,25mm. Heb ik al die jaren zitten slapen met de 15W 40 en 0,15 en 0,35mm?

Nee hoor, in het MB onderhoudsboek staat dat de OM636 resp. 0.2 en 0.25 moet hebben, maar de OM621 van 1958-1962 resp. 0.15 en 0.30.
De OM 621 III (621.912 aka 190Dc vanaf 1962 55 pk) resp. 0.15 en 0.35
Zowel 10W30 (koud klmaat), 20W20 (warm klimaat) en 15W40 (gematigd) is geschikt voor deze motoren.

Dus met de olie en de klepspeling zit het wel goed aangezien het blok uit 1963 is.

Wat mij vooral verwarring heeft gebracht is dat Drinkwaard aan de hand van een foto direct riep dat het een OM621db zou zijn. Dit zeiden ze te zien aan het vliegwielhuis dat kleiner is dan van latere versies ivm een ander vliegwiel.

Maar de db is van ver voor 1963. Drinkwaard weet wel waar ze het over hebben lijkt me dus ik ben nog steeds een beetje verward. Ik zou namelijk op zich best naar een OM615 willen (ivm stillere loop), maar dan zou ik (aldus Drinkwaard) een nieuw vliegwielhuis moeten en dan zou ongeveer niks passen.

Gezien de hoeveelheid prutswerk door vorige eigenaren zou het me niet eens verbazen als het vliegwiel is over gezet van een andere motor om een en ander pas te krijgen.

Maargoed, back on topic: het is uit 1963 en daarmee onomstotelijk een III danwel 912?

het moter nummer staat op de linkerkant achter op de moter boven het oliefilter en net onder de cilinderkop.
hoort een ingeslagen nummer te zijn en als het een 621 moter is dan begint het nummer daarmee.

Of dit vliegwiel bij deze motor hoort weet ik niet.

Indien het vliegwiel is over gezet is van een andere motor, en dus niet op elkaar gebalanceerd is, dan lijkt me dat niet gebalanceerd, en dus fout. Of, maakt dat met deze motoren niks uit?

Kan iemand iets zinnigs roepen? Als dit inderdaad een gevallejte prutswerk is, wat is dan wijsheid? TOCH een goed lopende OM615 er in takelen, dus ook een ander vliegwielhuis met oren kopen, of gewoon meteen voor een nieuw (Chinees) motortje gaan?

Aangezien er wat motor onderhoud gepland is (klepsteelrubbers, rotocaps, injectoren; en dat kost ook weer geld) misschien beter dat niet meer te doen? Vandaar de vraag. Ik zit gevoelsmatig op een omslagpunt, hiermee door, of niet?

Het start wel altijd, en goed, alleen rookt en trilt me teveel. En dat gaat toch irriteren.

Als de motor een degelijk groot en dus prijzig onderhoud vergt en trilt (dat roken zal minder worden als de klepsteelrubbers zijn vervangen), is het financieel wellicht beter om er een ander blok in te zetten. Mischien is een OM601 blok een overweging ? Zuiniger, lichter, meer vermogen, geen kleppen meer stellen en uitermate duurzaam.

Ik heb inmiddels een aantal mensen geraadpleegd die 'verstand van zaken hebben'.

Het trillen KAN natuurlijk een slechte injector zijn, of timing die niet klopt. Daarom het idee om er toch wat moeite en (beperkt) geld in te stoppen. Als dat niet voldoende helpt, dan zeker hermotoriseren.

Laat zo'n OM601 zich "mariniseren"? Ik heb er nooit delen voor gezien....

voor je er een andere moter in zet deed ik eerst compressie meten is die 15 bar of minder dan kun je er wel van uit gaan dat de moter versleten is.
moet er wel bij vertellen dat je eerst de kleppen goed gaat stellen en dan met een warme moter compressie gaat meten.

en de verstuivers even laten testen want als daar een slechte tussen zit dan gaat de moter ook roken.
en dat trillen kan ook aan een slechte motersteun liggen daar zijn ook verschillende soorten in.

en wat ook belangrijk is staat de moter met de keerkoppeling echt recht voor de schroefas daar ben ik al een keer een aantal uren mee zoet geweest omdat goed te krijgen.

om nu een OM 602 erin te zetten is een hele stap dan heb je niks meer aan deze moter past echt niks dan is een OM 615 beter dan kun je de onderdelen van de OM 621 zo over zetten om er een scheeps-diesel van te maken

Dank voor je bijdragen en tips.

Compressie meten kan ik helaas niet.

De kleppen staan goed, uitlijning met de schroefas is goed en de motorsteunen zijn nieuwe en geschikte types voor deze toepassing. Bovendien, ook in de 'vrij' trilt de motor wat meer dan ik denk dat de bedoeling is. Dat zal mede veroorzaakt worden door een net iets te magere motorfundatie. Kortom, het motortje moet wat onderhoud en dat gaat ie krijgen.

Govert helpt met de dingen die ik graag gedaan wil hebben (ben ik erg blij mee en dankbaar voor) dus ik zal ophouden te twijfelen voor nu.

In het slechtste geval staat alles al goed, doen gereviseerde injectoren het niet beter dan wat er nu in zit en is er wat tijd en geld verloren gegaan. Dan kan ik altijd nog beslissen een andere motor in te bouwen. Liever niet (ivm $$)

Edit: de motor liep vroeger -8 jaar gelee, toen er slechte motor rubbers onder stonden- wel mooier rond, dus het zal het vliegwiel niet zijn, als daar al prutswerk aan zit (wat ook maar een gok is).

Yup, die zit er nog niet zo lang in.

Die heb ik, samen met een vliegwielverzwaring, twee jaar terug geplaatst. Veel uren heeft die er nog niet op. Dus die kan eigenlijk nog niet ter ziele zijn (ik ken het ratelen van een defecte demperplaat wel en dat is niet wat er loos is).

Door diverse maatregelen die ik in die acht jaar genomen heb valt het op zich mee, maar de motor loop is sinds we de boot hebben gewoon steeds wat minder mooi geworden.

De maatregelen: volledige geluidsisolatie (dicht gemaakt + 13mm dikke bitumen platen er op) van de vloer, montage van nieuwe motorsteunen, vliegwiel verzwaring, nieuwe demperplaat, nieuwe schroefaskoppelin met rubberpakket.

Natuurlijk controleer ik met te grote regelmaat (vaak) de kleppen en stel ze zonodig (soms).

Toen we de boot net hadden, liep de olie aan alle kanten van/uit het blok als gevolg van lekke pakkingen etc. Dat heb ik twee jaar geleden aangepakt. Aan de krukas was het droog, maar de rest... laat ik zo zeggen: ik wist niet dat er zo veel pakkingen aan zo'n blok zitten

Ook de pomp kan aardig lekken door die onderste pomp-pakking..... en dan heeft de pomp geen smering meer. Dat wist de vorige eigenaar niet eens Pomp heb ik ook gespoeld. De hoeveelheid ellende die er uit kwam viel erg mee.

Oud filmpje van hoe het koud start met snelgloeiers, hoe het loopt, en hoe effectief de geluids isolatie is:



Op 2:02 zet ik het werk in de vooruit....

Als de motor koud is danst tegenwoordig de tafel door de kuip

En hier een recenter filmpje, na al dat onderhoud. Het metalige geknerps was een motorsteun waar de poelie tegenaan liep. De motorsteun heb ik iets afgenomen en het geluid is nu weg.




Zal binnenkort eens een filmpje maken en posten van hoe 't nu is.

Tijdens een "wandeling" door de boot, naast de motor (voor wat onderhoud) viel mijn oog op de motor fundatie. De stalen constructie die op het vlak is gelast, en waar de motor (via motorsteunen) op staat.

En wat zag ik: 1 van de lassen van de motorfundatie is door. Ik zag dat als ik nabij de las op het vlak ging staan, dan zag ik "prut" borrelen, waar een las zit. Gewoon in de las bewoog het.

Dus, las gebroken.

Dat kan HEEEEEEEL goed de reden zijn dat een en ander meer trilt dan vroeger!!!! Als de motor fundatie niet heel stevig staat kan alles gewoon meer trillen.

Dus, boot uit het water, op de kant, motorfundatie gelast. Meteen de buitenkant geschilderd (is ook 5 jaar gelee voor t laatst gedaan).

Dit zou idd wel eens de oplossing kunnen zijn. Maat van mij kreeg ook trillingen, bleek een rubber overleden te zijn.

Ja het kan een beste invloed hebben. Even verderop zit de fundatie wel weer gelast, maar evengoed kan ik me voorstellen dat het niet stevig genoeg zat.

Nouja, vandaag nog de waterlijn zetten, en morgen de boot weer te water.

Als eerste zal ik de uitlijning controleren zoals altijd moet als de boot uit het water is geweest en op een statiefje heeft gestaan.

Zo, vanmorgen om 9:00uur is de boot weer te water gegaan

Starten, lopen, wegvaren.

Nog niet eens uitgelijnd en nu al veel minder trillingen. YES!

In dit topic heb ik het roken en trillen al eens benoemd, dat toch irriteerde. Volgens mij heb ik er elders ook al wat over gezegd, maar het is toch tijd voor een update.

Wiebren had geopperd om de compressie te meten, maar aangezien de motor ook bij -10 graden nog zo goed start, en als de motor even gelopen heeft start die ook zonder gloeien (ook een uur later nog), en daar de oliedruk met motor door en door warm op 2,5 tot 3 bar zit, geloof ik wel dat de motor minstens redelijk is. Compressie is daarom niet gemeten.

Wel de injectoren weggebracht. Alle 4 niet goed meer. Dus dat was onverwacht duur (4 nieuwe binnenwerkjes, arbeidsloon). De diesel revisie meneer tipte me om de brandstof filters na te kijken, omdat de verstuivers vast zaten. Dat heb ik gedaan en haalde brandschone filters tevoorschijn. Natuurlijk wel alles vernieuwd. Het voorfilter met waterafscheider: ook brandschoon.

Govert had me al geholpen door de rotocaps en klepsteelrubbers te vervangen en de kleppen te stellen, en daarnaast heb ik het regulier onderhoud gedaan (voornoemd brandstoffilter, olie, oliefilter).

Het resultaat: de OM621 blijft een lawaai papagaai, maar alle vreemde onbalans en trillingen: het is weg. En niet onbelangrijk: het roken is ook zo goed als over. Koud rookt 'ie nu minder dan vroeger warm, bij ineens gas geven (warme motor) komt er geen rookpluim meer en warm rookt de motor nauwelijks. Je moet dan echt zoeken om rook te zien of te ruiken. Ook als we op topspeed lopen! (3100RPM, maar dan graaft de boot zich al helemaal in en maken we metershoge golven).

Wat een verschil! Dit motortje had dit gewoon nodig
