Ik een heleboel onderdelen van mijn W113 die wat geroest zijn gedemonteerd om te laten chemisch vernikkelen, moet dan wel 3 a 4 weken wachten voordat ik ze terug krijg en dat duurt laaaaaaang

Maar dan ga je er ook heel laaang plezier van hebben na dat vernikkelen, en het zal een mooie aanblik geven van onderen.

Is mooi geworden.

ziet er ook goed uit,
maar heb je de klemmetjes op de verstuiver leiding er op laten zitten? want dan is er onder toch niet gepassiveerd ?
en zijn de binnenkant van de wateraansluiting ook gepassiveerd?

Hoi Cees,

Nee ik had de klemmetjes eraf gehaald, klopt anders zit eronder geen goede laag.

De waterbuis/pijp wordt van binnen niet goed gechromateerd. Zowiezo niet goed aan de binnenkant van kleine zaken.

De buis bleek ook lek en ik heb hem dicht gesoldeerd. Verder heb ik de binnenkant geschilderd.

Tegenwoordig gebruiken ze voor dit geel ¨verzinken¨ chroom III in plaats van chroom VI. Beter voor de mensen maar een minder houdbare laag. De gele kleur is ook wat anders en komt nu van een bijgevoegde kleurstof.

Voor jou SL is het correct om geen ¨geel¨ spul toe te passen, dat kwam pas in de jaren 70. Leuk werkje om alles mooi te maken. Wel oppassen dat je niks kwijt raakt.

dat dacht ik al , daarom wilde ik chemisch vernikkelen en dat gaat ook op de binnenzijde,
ik ben benieuwd of dat zo is, laat het wel weten.
wel is de dikte maar 20 micron.

Vandaag om mijn vernikkelde materialen geweest en het ziet er goed uit, behalve op sommige plekken inwendig is het niet helemaal gelukt, maar dat kan ook door mij geweest zijn, door slecht te stralen.
