Soms wil het contactslot van mijn 230 coupe niet goed rond.Kun je hier iets aan doen?

Ik ken dat wel. Soms helpt het om je sleutel net een milimetertje terug te trekken. Probeer het eens?

Het kan aan een versleten sleutel liggen, maar de slotcylinder kan ook versleten zijn.

Let op! als de cylinder eenmaal vastzit, dan is vaak de enige oplossing om hem uit te boren. Het is beter de cylinder te vervangen voordat dat gebeurt.

Probeer het met een nieuwe sleutel, die kan je bij de sleutelboer of bij de dealer (met sleutelnummer) bestellen. Bij de sleutelboer moet je wel oppassen dat je sleutel krijgt die ook op de achterbak past.

Als dat niet werkt, kan je een nieuwe cylinder erin zetten. Bij de dealer is met het slotnummer een nieuwe cylinder te bestellen (ca. 60 euro). Tweedehands kan ook, maar als je niet met meerdere sleutels wilt rondlopen, zul je al de sloten moeten vervangen. Als je dat geen probleem vindt, is het makkelijk om ergens een cylinder op de kop te tikken.

Ik zou er eerst eens wat olie of slotspray in laten zakken, vaak wil dat wel helpen. Slijtage is natuurlijk ook niet ondenkbaar, maar vervangen kan altijd nog. Dus ik zou zeggen smeren die boel.

Zou ik er wat wd40 in kunnen spuiten of is dat niet aan te raden.

Beter is om speciaal spul voor sloten te gebruiken, zeker olie (maar misschien ook wel WD40) heeft te neiging om vast te koeken in sloten.

Het sleutelnummer staat op de datakaart die bij de auto werd geleverd, maar voor het bestellen van een nieuwe sleutel of slotcilinder (voor zover nog leverbaar) is dat eigenlijk niet nodig, omdat ze bij Mercedes die gegevens ook hebben. Ik denk niet dat een sleutelmaker (anders dan Mercedes) iets aan dat sleutelnummer heeft.

Schuifjes kom je aan door meerdere sloten te verzamelen...

Ik heb wat jaren (4 a 5) geleden dit probleem gehad bij mijn W124. Ik ben toen met het kentekenbewijs naar de dealer gegaan en daar konden ze zo een nieuw contactslot en sleutel bijbestellen op basis van het chassisnr. Misschien zou dat ook zo werken bij de W123?

Intussen een sleutel besteld en heel vlot gekregen via http://www.keyprof.com/Kennis-Sleutelnummer-Check.php Autosleutel Luke, dat werkt wel aardig goed met die code.

De nieuwe sleutel in het contactslot gedaan...en hij past niet.

Nu heb ik bij deze auto geen sleutel bij meerdere deuren.
Deursloten losgehaald om bij de cilinder te komen en daar gezien dat niet alleen de cilinders vrij vervuild waren met vrij dik vet, maar ook dat er messing slotplaatjes misten.

Daarom me maar eens op het contactslot gericht.
Loshalen van de cilinder en invoeren van de oude sleutel (waarmee die dus wel startte), liet zien dat niet alle slotplaatjes zich mooi terug trokken in de behuizing.
De cilinderbehuizing heeft de nodige slijtsporen in de behuizing staan, dus daarom kon die nog verdraaien.

Samen met wat verzamelde plaatjes uit een ander slot, maar eens gekeken of ik een set kon samenstellen, waarmee de nieuwe sleutel ging werken.
Op deze site wordt elders uitgelegd, dat de slotplaatjes zijn voorzien van een nummer (1, 2, 3 of 4). Dat is bij mij niet het geval (zie hier hoe Semrick het in goede plaatjes allemaal laat zien).

Ik heb een soort ribbeltjes boven de nok zitten, waarbij er de varianten 1, 2 of 3 ribbeltjes / groefjes zijn.

Beter dus! De niet gebruikte slotplaatjes liggen naast de cilinder. Hier zie je bij sommige die ribbeltjes zitten.

Een paar vragen die ik graag wil stellen.

Omdat de slotplaatjes die uit gebruikte cilinders komen, af en toe wat uitgesleten zijn, heeft iemand een link waar ze deze slotplaatjes nog kunnen leveren? Dan bouw ik hem het liefste op met nieuwe plaatjes natuurlijk.
Op een ander forum werd iemand verwezen naar AlieExpress, maar daar kan ik ze niet vinden.

Weet iemand welk merk op de oude (denk originele) sleutel staat?
Hetzelfde logo staat namelijk ook op de cilinder, naast de MB ster. Zie groene circels.
Van Autosleutel Luke heb ik nu overigens een Silca sleutel gekregen met hetzelfde 'handvatje'.

Voor het aanpassen, neem een de zoekfunctie en voer eens in Sleutel en auteur Semrick. Die heeft tig jaar geleden een artikel geschreven hoe je je cilinders kan aanpassen

Na wat meer zoeken heb ik op Aliexpress de volgende advertentie gevonden:

Dit zijn volgens mij plaatjes voor (o.a.) W201, nog niet dezelfde als de W123.

Deze staat voor de VW Santana, maar lijkt wel sterk op de W123 plaatjes:
