Beste Mercedes vrienden, ik heb vandaag mijn tellerbak eruit gehaald om te kijken voor de verlichting. Ik heb de tellerbak weer gemonteerd en tot mijn schrik werkt de brandstof meter niet meer voor de rest werkt alles wel toen ik aan het friemelen was achter het dashboard en de de kabel met de grote stekker aanraakte zwiepte het wijzertje wel af entoe. Maar nu doet hij niks ligt helemaal plat. Iemand raad??? Ik heb een reserve tellerbak geprobeerd maar het probleem blijft alles werkt temp,oliedruk behalve brandstof. Het gaat trouwens om een W123 240D 1982

Als het metertje zwiept als je aan de kabel komt, moet je daar verder gaan zoeken. Wellicht is de kabel ergens een beetje beschadigd en komt tegen massa? Kijk ook eens heel goed de stekkertjes na. Voorzichtig aan ieder draadje trekken om zeker te zijn dat ze nog vast zitten. Kijk naar ieder pennetje, zijn ze nog recht, zitten ze nog vast. Is er iets te zien van corrosie.

Hoi jeroen als ik nu aan de kabel zit doet hij niks meer ik heb alle pinnen nagelopen geen corossie kan t zijn dat er een zekering is doorgebrand bij de vlotter? Of in de motor ruimte?

Als ik dit zo lees denk ik aan een draadbreuk achter de stekker.
Misschien even doormeten met een ohm meter

Dan wordt het toch verder zoeken! Ik zou als eerste even de bedrading op aan de kant van de brandstofniveau opnemer bekijken. Even zien of alles vast zit, geen corrosie etc. Als dat het niet is wordt het toch echt de bedrading en de verschillende onderdelen doormeten.

Bijgaand wat schema’s en testinstructies voor het metertje en de opnemer. Deze komen uit mijn Amerikaanse handboeken, maar ik denk dat het bij jou vergelijkbaar zou moeten zijn.

Het lijkt mij een probleem in de stekker (draadje losgekomen van de stekkerhuls), of een kabelbreuk.
Het probleem begon na het uitbouwen van de teller, een reserveteller geeft hetzelfde resultaat.
De stekker kun je uitelkaar halen, maar doe dat voorzichtig, als alle draden eruit springen, heb je een volgende uitdaging.

Ik heb t probleem gevonden richard heeft gelijk draad is losgekomen van de huls. Verdorie wat een drama het dekseltje terug zetten is al een uitdaging zie die hulsjes er maar allemaal in te krijgen op de juiste plek. Maar goed wat moet ik nu doen ben even de weg kwijt is zo n huls erweer op te zetten?? Hij zat gesoldeerd natuurlijk. Kan ik pok gewoon een andere stekker kopen??? Help!!

Wat Drieske zegt, opnieuw solderen.
De draadjes op de juiste volgorde houden is inderdaad wel belangrijk, maak als het nog kan een foto, dat kan je helpen als het mis gaat.
