Hallo,

Ik ben nieuw op dit forum maar een aantal van jullie zullen mij kennen van het Heckflosseforum. Ik woon in Amersfoort en heb sinds een jaar of 7 heb ik een W111 230S (Sparflosse). In die 7 jaar heb ik vrij veel aan mijn Limo gesleuteld om hem rijdend te krijgen en te houden. Ik was redelijk aktief op het Flosseforum onder de gebruikersnaam Zwart.
Laatste tijd sleutel ik wat minder want hij rijdt. Technisch dus OK, plan is om deze zomer wat aan het uiterlijk te doen. Plekjes bijwerken en poetsen.

Hoi Marcel, welkom hier na de overstap naar dit forum

Ik vind je 230S schitterend, prachtig dat Horizontblau, echt een kleur uit die tijd. Ik heb nog nooit iemand zijn 230S horen aanprijzen als ¨Sparflosse¨, natuurlijk was het dat wel een beetje nadat de W108 al wat uitgebracht, maar hij heeft wel mooi de dikste motor met 120PK (behalve de 300SE dan).

Super dat je de auto gewoon gebruikt. Ik probeer dat ook te doen met de 200. Het mooiste is toch om ze te zien rijden. Jammer dat je zo ver weg woont anders zou ik je eens tegen kunnen komen en genieten van het mooie uitzicht.

Hier in Eindhoven reed eerst een lichtgrijze W111 rond maar die zie ik helaas nooit meer. Wel is er nog een donkerblauwe W110 te zien.

Ja, uiteindelijk overgestapt naar dit forum. Hoop bekende namen zie ik langs komen. En zo ook jij
Tsja, Sparflosse, dat is het toch eigenlijk wel. Hij is uit 1967, de W108 liep al aan en om de W111 een beetje aantrekkelijk te maken hadden ze hem wat afgespekt. Houten biesjes op stoelen en deur en dat soort dingen waren weg om hem goedkoper te maken als de W108. Maar idd wel een wat dikkere motor als z'n voorganger.

Mijne is niet meer origineel maar dat maakt me niet zo veel uit. Het gaat me om de vorm en het rijplezier. Iemand heeft hem ooit omgebouwd van automaat naar handbak, da's natuurlijk wel jammer. En ik heb er een paar jaar geleden een W114 motor ingezet, dat weet je misschien nog vanaf het Flosseforum.

Maar leuk dat jij je flosse ook gewoon gebruikt om te rijden Ik zie ze eigenlijk nog maar zelden in het dagelijks verkeer. En ook lekker mee op vakantie zoals hier in Brighton, geweldig toch?
