Ik wil mijn net aangeschafte Mercedes W123 om laten bouwen naar gas. Nu lees ik zeer positieve berichten over Paul Mandigers maar dat is voor niet om de hoek. Heeft iemand ervaring met Garage Carbalt in Amsterdam.

Ik twijfel ook nog tussen een tank rechtsachter (voorstel Carbalt) of een op de plek van het reserverewiel. Is het zo dat je de meeste lekke banden tegenwoordig kunt verhelpen met zo'n spuitbus? Iemand daar ervaring mee?

Ik heb een paar weken terug LPG in mijn 230E laten zetten door Carbalt en ben erg tevreden, alles is zeer netjes ingebouwd voor een hele goede prijs. Ik heb een 60 liter tank, extra beveiliging voor de K-Jetronic en Flashlube, en de vuller achter de kentekenplaat. De omschakelknop zie je bijna niet zitten, zit onder het dashboard en is een simpele zwarte knop zonder lampjes o.i.d. precies zoals ik het wou hebben.

Lekke band verhelpen met een spuitbus, nee bedankt, ik heb het laatst 's avonds noodgedwongen moeten doen in 't donker met regen en dat ging dus voor geen meter !

ik zie dat je een T hebt. Ik zou me zeker niet door Mandigers laten ompraten om een cilinder tussen de wielen te plaatsen. Ziet er niet uit en je hebt niks meer aan je stationcar. Ook zo'n cilinder aan de zijkant in de lengte vind ik persoonlijk erg lelijk.
Ik heb in mijn T een verticale ronde tank op de plaats van het reservewiel. Je ziet er helemaal niks van en je gooit nog steeds met gemak een fiets, koelkast of wat dan ook achterin. (Laten inbouwen bij van Orsouw in Eindhoven (als je 's ochtends komt kun je 's middags - op LPG - naar huis rijden))

Wat betreft die spuitbusjes: Ik heb eens wat Duitse tests gezien (adac?) waarbij bleek dat er nogal wat kwaliteitsverschillen zijn: de duurdere systemen werkten wel goed. Die kleine busjes uit de bouwmarkt blijken vooral nauwelijks genoeg gas te hebben om de band te vullen. Ik denk dat je samen met zo'n busje sowieso een extra voetpompje moet meenemen.

Een spuitbus kan helpen als je een gewone lekke band hebt.
Hoewel de ervaringen met die spuitbusjes nogal uiteen lopen.

Maar stel dat je een band stuk rijdt op een steen, rand van een putje of noem maar op.
Dan heb je echt niks aan een spuitbus.
Er gaat niks boven een gewone reserve band. Helemaal als je op lange afstand zit.
Maar dat is een keuze die je zelf maakt.

Dank voor de bijdragen. Ik heb inmiddels een tank in laten bouwen bij Garbalt. Ben er erg tevreden over. De tank zit rechts in de rijrichting. Ze hebben het paneel aan de zijkant ingesneden waardoor de tank zover mogelijk naar rechts zit. Netjes gewerkt.

De vulopening zit gewoon achter het tankklepje. Ik moet wel de benzinedop verwijderen om te kunnen tanken maar dat bespaart me een lelijk gat in de auto. De laadruimte is nog intact én ik heb mijn reservewiel. Het schakelknopje bezine/gas zit onzichtbaar onder het dashboard zonder meter. Ik rij op dagteller.

Ik heb er ook een backfire-beveiliging en flashlube in laten zetten. Kostte wel wat extra, maar alles voor het onderhoud van de wagen.

Ik heb net mijn eerste lange rit naar Frankrijk gedaan en dat was in Luxemburg echt lachen bij de pomp: 340 km voor 17 euro!

He, mag ik vragen wat je betaalt hebt voor die installatie, woon zelf namelijk ook in Amsterdam.

Mijn installatie kostte (zoals hier eerder beschreven) €980,- exclusief BTW, dat is ook inclusief het afstellen na 1000 km.

Ik heb bij Garbalt 1300,-- ex btw betaald. Dat was inclusief kleppen stellen, vervangen bougies, bougiekabels, rotorkap, rotor, installatie flashlube, installatie backfire beveiliging. Ik heb echt op niets bezuinigd.

Ik ga een fotootje maken voor je. Het is een 60 liter tank en er gaat dus ongeveer 53 liter liter in. Bij rustig rijden haal ik net aan 350 km.

Vraagje.......... Kun je met je gastank rechtsachterin het klepje waar de verbandtrommel en ruitensproeier reservoir achter zit nog wel openen?

In die zijklepj komt een gat en de tank schuift daar voor een deel in. Hebben ze netjes gedaan. Alles wat erachter zit (krik, verbandtrommel, sleutels) heb ik daar weggehaald en onder de vloerplaat gelegd. Ze maken een aparte tuit voor de ruitensproeiervloeistof. Was ie bij mij overigens vergeten dus die moet ie nog maken maar daar heb ik nog geen tijd voor gehad.

Heb vandaag een afspraak gemaakt bij van Orsouw in Eindhoven.
Gaan een 70 ltr. tank in mijn 280 (carburateur) sedan bouwen.
De prijs voor de gasinstallatie is 1050 euro incl. BTW.
De flah tube kost 85 euro en voor het stellen van kleppen en het vervangen van de klepdekselrubbers vragen ze 100 euro.
Voor mijn 200 vroegen ze in maart 2008 937 euro incl.BTW en een volle 70ltr tank.

Carbalt heeft vorig jaar mijn LPG afgesteld, en dat hebben ze erg goed gedaan. Binnenkort ga ik weer bij ze langs, want hij mag wel weer eens afgesteld worden.

Ik was iets meer kwijt voor mijn onderbouw ringtank van 59 liter. Voordeel is wel dat je er niks van ziet, en geen laadruimte verliest. Mijn vulnippel zit boven mijn benzinedop, achter het klepje. Ik heb er een foto bijgezet.

Mijn auto gaat voor alles naar garage Meereboer in Alkmaar, gasonderbouw, reparaties en onderhoud. Alkmaar is prima te doen vanuit Amsterdam.
