Ik kan een W123 200T uit 11-1984 kopen. Als ik de keuze had gehad, zou ik voor een 300TD gaan, maar onze eerste auto (W123 230E uit 1981) rijdt op LPG, en door een 2e W123 op LPG kan ik met een 2e auto op LPG de brandstof- en onderhoudskosten op mijn bedrijf(je) declareren.

Ik heb gezocht op LPG onderbouw voor de W123 T-modellen, maar het enige dat ik zie is een onderbouw-installatie waarbij de benzinetank verkleind wordt. Dat lijkt me niets; als ik een keer met zo'n auto naar het buitenland ga, wil ik graag de volledige actieradius van een normale benzinetank kunnen benutten.

Weet iemand van jullie een oplossing voor onderbouw-LPG bij een T-model waarbij de benzinetank-inhoud intact kan blijven? eventueel zou ik liever de ruimte van het reservewiel opofferen dan een kleinere benzinetank te hebben.

PS: was geen mercedes-fan, maar na een W124-300E (1989) en onze rode W123-230E begin ik toch wel te geloven dat Mercedes heel goede producten heeft gebouwd!

je kunt ook een ringtank inbouwen op de plaats van het reservewiel.

Je kan misschien een onderbouw LPG laten plaatsen en een benzinetank laten maken in je reservewielcompartiment? Dit samen met je verkleinde benzinetank door die onderbouw LPG moet je toch wat liters opleveren denk ik.

Bedankt voor de reacties. Had nog niet alles doorgenomen. Die tank op de plaats van het reservewiel (MarceldB, 2006/11/08 11:34, topic 14352)vind ik wel de beste oplossing! ipv. het reservewiel gooi ik wel zo'n spuitbus achterin. Dan houd ik ook m'n volledige benzinetank als we een keer naar het buitenland gaan. Ik zal eens bij HPO gaan informeren. Heb je inmiddels een staande tank in je TE? Ook ik zou graag zo'n opstelling willen.
Graag hoor ik je ervaringen, LPG inbouwers zijn erg terughoudend en ik begrijp dat ook de tankfabrikant dergelijke modellen niet meer levert.
Ben benieuwd naar je ervaring.

Lijkt me superonhandig geen reservewiel meer.
Sta je dan met zo'n lullig spuitbusje. Maar afwachten of het werkt.
Zo' n staand tankje is vaak ook maar 30-50 liter netto, kun je elke 200-400 km weer tanken.

ik ben me ook aan het orienteren om onderbouw te plaatsen onder mijn 280TE. Ik wil de benzine tank verwijderen, hier een zo groot mogelijke ringtank voor in de plaats hangen en op de plaats van het reserve wiel een benzine tank plaatsen onder de afdekkap van het reserve wiel. Nu zit ik met 2 vragen:

-mag het nieuwe benzinetankje een binnenvulling hebben?
-hoe groot kan de ringtank worden?

We rijden al een tijd in een 230E (Sedan) met 100 liter gastank. Actieradius is perfect! Ruimte verlies is minder...Vandaar mijn idee voor TE.

Hoi,

Ik heb een W123 280TE met de LPG gastank eronder. De onderbouw LPG tank is 59 liter, mijn benzinetank is verkleind en zit erachter. De tankmeter doet het nog prima. Mijn benzine en gasvul dingen zitten achter het klepje. Het geheel is voorzien van een kleppensmeer syteempje wat ik elke 3000km bijvul met een soort olie. Ik ben er zeer tevreden over. Ik kom zo'n 300km met een gasvulling, ik rij veel stad en korte ritjes, maar van Alkmaar tot Roosendaal kom ik dus ook zonder tanken. De auto start zomer en winter op gas, ik rij nooit op benzine.

De LPG tank wordt ondergebouwd na 1000 km op benzine. De auto heeft daarvoor een jaar of drie tot vijf stilgestaan volgens verkoper Stuurman Classic Cars.

Meereboer heeft gelijk de onderkant ontroest en verder preventief met een primer bewerkt toen de boel eraf lag. Er was ook iets met het vacuum en niveau regeling , die bollen aan de achterkant zijn weg, de benzinetank zit daar nu gedeeltelijk. De bollen zijn vervangen door een stalen balk die in de auto, onder de houten bodemplaat is bevestigd. Het flesje kleppensmeerolie moest ik een beetje bijstellen in het begin, dat is vrij simpel. Het gebruikt nu 900ml per 5000km. Meereboer heeft voor het monteren van de gasspullen ook onder de motorkap wat ontroest, ge-primerd en spuitwerk gedaan.

Meteen na het LPG onderbouwen is de auto rondom helemaal voorzien van nieuwe vloeistoffen, diverse filters, stuurrubbertjes, remblokken, de uitgedroogde raamrubbers vervangen en andere onderhouds gevoelige items preventief aangepakt. Vervolgens zijn de kleppen opnieuw afgesteld. Als laatste de wielen weer keurig gebalanceerd en uitgelijnd. Daarna kreeg ik 'm eindelijk terug.

Zoals je aan het kenteken ziet, de auto is een import uit Duitsland. Ik heb dat niet zelf gedaan, de auto komt van Stuurman Classic Cars in Herkenbosch bij Roermond.
Ik was al een tijdje op zoek naar de kombi lichtgroen buiten/ olijfgroen binnen en daar stond ie.
1984, Lekker weinig electra, gewoon zwengelramen, wel abs en cruisecontrol, precies wat ik zocht.
Stuurman is niet de goedkoopste, maar de auto zag er gaaf uit en reed redelijk, dus gekocht.
Ik heb er 1000 km mee gereden voor ie naar Meereboer Alkmaar ging voor de LPG onderbouw. Dat was wel echt nodig. Stuurman heeft de auto welliswaar mooi bijgespoten, maar technisch 100% was ie niet:

- De motor liep slecht, echt slecht. Olie was bijgevuld, niet ververst.
- De remmen waren gedeeltelijk vervangen, maar ik kreeg er toch ergens lucht bij.
- De niveauregeling deed niks
- Vocht in koplampen.
- Centrale portiervergrendeling defect.
- Een vierkante band achter
- Zware afwijking naar links
- Verstopt filter schakelbak
- Kapot raammechaniek bestuurder
- Twee lekkende koppelingen benzineleiding.
- Lekkend schuifdak en rubbers dakrail.
- Geen stroom op alles aan de achterklep.
- Achterklep bleef niet openstaan en slotmechaniek defect.

Stuurman Classic Cars heeft wel de voorste zijschotten vervangen en gespoten. Vermoedelijk geen orgineel, het past net niet en heeft niet dezelfde buiging als de kap, je ziet ook plooien van het bijbuigen op de velsrand. De naad tussen schot en deuren is scheef. Ik vind dat het er niet uitziet. Dat moet dus helaas opnieuw als ik de auto strak wil krijgen. Voor de rest is de auto helemaal hard en zonder laswerk, geen verborgen gebrek of smeersels gevonden. De achterklep is niet orgineel uit deze auto, helaas is de bekleding met een paar lelijke bouten dwars door de interieurkappen vastgemaakt... Stuurman? Erg bot gedaan in ieder geval. Al met al wel een goeie kar met een gaaf interieur voor een redelijke prijs.

De afgelopen maanden na het gasinbouwen heeft Meereboer alle kleine dingetjes wel gemaakt en gehad. Echt alles doet het zoals het hoort en is in orginele staat hersteld. Ook kleine dingen als het vastzetten van sierstrippen, de houtinleg, interieurlampjes enzo is allemaal erg netjes gedaan. Chapeau Meereboer.

Ik ben erg tevreden over Meereboer Alkmaar, mijn W123 280TE blijft daar dus zeker in onderhoud.
