De natuurlijke habitat van de Benz. Cruizen met 120 tot 130 op de teller is ook bij een 200D nog steeds uitermate comfortabel en dank zij het relatief hoge koppel onder in het toeren bereik toch geen jaren 70 toestanden: kruipend met 40 of 50 km/uur de lange hellingen. Niets daarvan. Zelfs moderne (kleine) benzine auto's zakken verder terug in snelheid .

En dan de bergen. Die heb je er in alle soorten en maten . En zo ook de ten behoeve van motorvoertuigen aanwezige infrastructuur. Als je er alleen in z'n 1 tegenop komt is het serieus steil.

Op foto's altijd moeilijk te zien maar dit was echt steil (15%). In de Jura zijn de hellingen vaak steiler dan in de Alpen.

Nou goed. Meer dus. Het heeft even geduurd en mijn geheugen zal me af en toe wel in de steek laten, maar niet getreurd, mijn externe geheugen is nooit ver!
Om te beginnen: ik zit weer zonder werk, dus kan ik weer sleutelen en op het forum rond struinen.
Waar waren we ook al weer gebleven? Oh ja, in de Jura. Mmm, dat rijmt.
Maar we zijn natuurlijk ook even in de Alpen geweest. Het Berner Oberland om precies te zijn. Ook daar zijn de bergen wonderschoon en eh, zijn jullie bekend met Gurnigel Bergrennen? Nou googel maar even; die weg is fantastisch. En die van mij mag dan traag zijn, maar die weg...
