Ik kocht een schitterend uitziende Mercedes 280CE uit 78. Prachtige lak, prachtig interieur. Toen hij hier thuis werd geleverd met wagentransporteur, bleek er geen olie te zitten in de reservoir voor de automatische transmissie. Dus volledig bijgevuld. Bij de eerste bleek dat die olie er gewoon uitstroomde.
Probleem: dichting aan het kick-down gedeelte. Nieuwe dichting gekocht, 12 EUR.
Nu blijkt dat je deze dichting alleen kan plaatsen, als je de transmissie eruit haalt en volledig openlegt!
Maw onbegonnen werk. Men raadde me aan op zoek te gaan naar een vervangingstransmissie.

Iemand ervaring hiermee? En als het klopt wat ze zeggen, waar kan ik makkelijk een nieuwe (2de hands) transmissie vinden?
Ik heb veel betaald voor deze prachtige wagen, ik wil ervan genieten

Kan u een foto maken van het lek.
Zelf heb ik de dichtingen van de kickdown relais al eens vervangen en bij mij kon de bak gewoon blijven zitten.

Mogelijks heeft men nog andere schade gezien aan deze bak.

Bedankt voor je reactie. Ik woon vlak bij Gent, en we zijn nu bezig de transmissie los te maken. Ik zal daarna een foto maken. Als het voor jou niet te veel gevraagd is, zou ik mijn behulpzame buur (die sleutelt voor mij) jou 's mogen laten opbellen hierover? Normaal ging hij morgenvoormiddag voor mij nieuwe transmissie gaan halen in Lokeren, maar mogelijks is er toch nog een makkelijkere oplossing. Mijn nummer is 0477/914663. Ofwel mag je me bellen, ofwel stuur je jouw nummer via pb? In alle geval al bijzondere dank.

Dank je wel buurman MB280 E (ik ben ook uit regio Gent). Ik wacht nog op jouw advies alvorens die nieuwe transmissie te halen.. In bijlage vindt u twee foto's van de transmissie. Op de tweede ziet u de kickdown waar de olie uitstroomde. Is dit identiek zoals bij jou? En kan je die dichtingen effectief van buitenuit vervangen, door bvb een zgn 'oorring' er in te steken. Dat kan je van buiten uit.
(het lukt me niet om foto's vast te hechten.....hoe krijg ik ze op een andere manier bij jou?

volgens mij heb ik ook nog een paar motoren te staan waar zulke bakken achter zitten
ik weet niet wat je in lokeren moet betalen maar bij mij is een bak 250 euro en gent is maar een eindje

Damn ik heb een nieuwer type automaat bak. Met deze heb ik geen ervaring. :oops:
Denk dat je goedkoper af bent met een bak bij Toontje. Ben benieuwd wat Van de Velde vraagt voor een bak.

Deze namiddag langsgeweest bij Toontje. Wat een prettige ervaring, en aangename kennismaking met die gepassioneerde man! Ik voelde me als een kind in een speelgoedwinkel. Kopen in vertrouwen noemen ze dat. Bedankt iedereen voor de tips. Hopelijk eind volgende week heb ik een rijklare wagen en dan naar de keuring in Nazareth (of is het ene keuringsstation strenger dan het andere?)
