Op het forum niets kunnen vinden, ben opzoek naar een site waar je het bouwjaar van de motornummer kunt vinden i.c.m. met het bouwjaar van de auto.
Ben nieuwsgierig of mijn motor (m110) uit hetzelfde jaar is als mijn auto.

Voor zover mij bekend is kun je het bouwjaar niet teruglezen uit het motornummer.
Vroeger kon je een datacard opvragen bij Mercedes en daarop staat wel het motornummer waarmee de auto de fabriek heeft verlaten. Op die manier zou je kunnen nagaan of dit de originele motor is.
Helaas vraagt Mercedes momenteel 150 euro voor het opvragen van de Ve-Doc.

Je kunt op internet via je chassisnummer wel eea opzoeken hoe de auto is geleverd. Op de zogenaamde russische site. Zoek maar eens op google.

Verder, je motornummer zegt wel iets, het is een motor voor een handgeschakelde versie. verder is het volgnummer 011381

dus de 011381´ste handgeschakelde motor. Omdat je wagen uit 1985 is zou ik een wat hoger nummer verwachten maar aan de andere kant waren de meeste 280CE´s automaat.

Aan de wagenkaart is inderdaad alles te zien en als de auto van na 1980 is, is dat relatief eenvoudig. Vanaf grofweg 1980 zijn de wagenkaarten digitaal opgeslagen, daarvoor staat alles in een papieren archief, vandaar dat het ook zo kostbaar is het op te vragen. Iemand moet het archief in en tussen de miljoenen wagenkaarten de juiste vinden. Vervolgens inscannen etc.

De vroege W123's hadden een M110.984 motor, dus ik denk wel dat het klopt. Dit is de beste site om je chassisnummer te ontsleutelen naast de dealer, die het ook gratis voor je doet als het een digitale wagenkaart is.

Je kan ook even je chassisnummer per PB sturen, dan haal ik hem even door het systeem van Mercedes heen voor je.

op het moterblok staat ook een bouwjaar van de moter staat net boven de startmoter de laatste 2 cijfers zijn het bouwjaar de andere zijn meen ik de dag en maand.

Mijn opmerking was eigenlijk voor de topic starter, hij heeft een 280CE met origineel 92000km en twijfelt eraan of de motor wel bij de auto hoort, stelt vragen op het forum, krijgt ook antwoorden en sluit af met ik weet genoeg, zonder het resultaat te delen. Dat is toch wat teleurstellend, vind ik.

Is zeker geen ondankbaarheid hoor, ben alleen nog niet in de garage geweest, ben zelf tevreden en dankbaar voor alle reacties op dit forum. De auto heb ik pas sinds najaar 2019 en heb al div. vragen gesteld op dit forum waar ik weer van geleerd heb, onder meer van jou !
Inmiddels staat de teller op 101000, onder meer na een mooie tocht van de zomer door Duitsland, Zwitserland en Oostenrijk, zonder problemen met nihil olieverbruik.
