Bij mijn 1983 240D werkt de temperatuurmeter op het dashboard niet meer.
Ik heb de kabel die naar de sensor op de massa gelegd: geen uitslag meter.
Dat betekend meter of kabel defect.
de meter slaat zeer weinig uit nadat ik deze op contact zet.
Maar...de kabel van de sensor is verbonden met de deurschakelaar van de verlichting! ja echt waar....nagemeten...
Kortom, vreemde oplossing van de vorige eigenaar (ik heb de auto net).
Voorlopige conclusie: kabel niet goed aangesloten.

Wie weet waar die kabel wel aangesloten hoort te zijn?
Via handboeken zie ik 2 oplossingen (ook vreemd, ik zal wel verkeerd lezen):
- op het relais van het voorgloeien
- op de meter (multi connector op dashboard)
- Of op beide? voorgloeien is temperatuur afhankelijk

Kan iemand mij dat vertellen of kan ik eens dit bekijken bij een 240D uit het noorden? bakkie erbij enzo..

Het noorden is wat ver voor mij maar ik heb ook even gekeken in het boek.

Je moet de sensor 11 hebben en er moet 1 groene kabel vanaf lopen naar je metertje in het dashboard. Als hij niet goed aangeeft zou ik de sensor vervangen of anders je metertje (instrumenteneenheid). Wel eerst zorgen natuurlijk dat het kabeltje goed is en goed aangesloten is.

Sensor 2,3,4 zijn voor de remmen (vloeistof en blokjes slijtage)

Bedankt voor je reactie.
Het is nu duidelijk welke tekening het is.
Ik heb inderdaad een kabel vanaf de sensor die groen is.
Nu nog even puzzelen waar die op de meter wordt aangesloten.
Ik zie alleen een multiconnector achterop het dashboard paneel.

Nu de tekening duidelijk is blijft wel de vraag over welke bruin/groene draad dan van de andere tekening is. andere sensor?

Nogmaals bedankt, ik ga op zoek naar waar de groene draad uitkomt op de achterzijde instrumenten paneel.
Ik ga uit van de multiconnector, zie blauw op de foto.

Blauwe multiconnector: hierop is de groene draad aangesloten?

Ja, de groene draad zou, volgens het schema, op pin 2 moeten zitten van de multiconnector.
Als je de stekker eraf haalt, kun je op de achterkant een aantal nummers zien op de stekkerbehuizing.
4 van de 15 zijn genummerd, de andere kun je uittellen.
Daarmee kun je bepalen welke pin pin 2 is, en de draad doormeten die naar de sensor loopt.

Overigens kun je ook de sensor doormeten, de ohmse waarde meten tegen de temperatuur.

bedankt voor je reactie, ik ga de groene draad volgen en pin 2 opzoeken op de multiconnector.
Mooi schema met gemeten warden afgezet tegen de temperatuur!

Ik ben superblij, ik kan nu rijden en het watertemperatuur in de gaten houden. Een heel raar idee als dat niet kan.

Wat heb ik gedaan?:
- de groene draad zat wel op de sensor.(iets andere kleur groen)
- de sensor doorgemeten en had de juiste weerstands waarden.
- de groene draad kwam niet aan op de multiconnector pin 2. heel raar, daar is zo als het nu lijkt mee geknoeid door de vorige eigenaar. Daar zat wel een groene op van een iets andere kleur.
- Ik heb een groene kabel van de sensor aangesloten op de groene kabel van de multiconnector (met een kabelschoen met aftakklem)
- de meter doet het nu weer! en geeft goede waarden aan.
