alle taxi's zijn W123 uitvoeringen. Meestal wit, maar ook wel een soort baby blue kleur. Mijn Marokkans is niet zo goed, maar gelukkig spreken die jongens ook aardig frans! De taxichauffeurs zijn behoorlijk content met de Benz. Af en toe kleppen stellen en olie bij gooien en rijden maar.

Grappig, ben deze week in Istanbul geweest en daar zie je ze nauwelijks, terwijl ik dat wel had verwacht.

Klopt, dat viel mij ook tegen. Ze rijden daar veel in de Autosan en in van die kleine karretjes, die soort Dacia/Renaults, de Logans. Ik kan je wel vertellen dat ze de W123 wel weten te waarderen, ze weten dat ze ontzettend goed zijn. Spullen zijn wel moeilijker te krijgen, zodoende hebben ze daar mijn startrelais dan ook maar gerepareerd daar in Marmaris, want het duurde te lang om er een te vinden.

In Marokko is het idd het W123 Walhalla, vooral leuk om ze eens van dichterbij te bekijken, vaak zitten er totaal andere achterbanken en stoelen in, het ligt vol met kleden en ze zijn vaak flink voorzien van decoratie. Ze rijden werkelijk overal en als ze met zijn zevenen zijn gaan ze pas rijden (voor de grotere afstanden dan).
Als je daar zelf met je W123 rijdt verwacht dan geen blije gezichten en zwaaien, ze vinden het daar heel normaal. We zwaaien hier als je in een Golf/Astra zit toch ook niet naar elkaar? :)

In Istanbul rijden veel Tofas (een soort licentie FIAT regata). De laatste tijd inderdaad veel Logan/Renault en Fiat MAreda of zo, en ineens (helaas) Enorm veel Kia en zo.

Ik rijd volgende week met de W123 naar Istanbul, we zullen zien.

PS buiten istanbul zijn wat meer oude benzen, misschien dat ze het daar langer uithouden, in de stad zie je bijna geen oude auto's meer...het lijkt bijna een overheidsmaatregel.
