ik orienteer me wat op een LPG tank voor mijn nieuwe 230C uit 78.
ik zie hier wat topics en de termen vliegen me om de oren.

ik lees veel mooie verhalen over van orsouw uit eindhoven. kent iemand ook vergelijkbare inbouwers met vergelijkbare prijzen in regio utrecht?
wat is een ring tank?
en waar dient een plunjer voor?

een ring tank is een gastank die op de plaats van je reservewiel kunt plaatsen zodat je geen kofferbank ruimte verliest

n ringtank is wel klein maar er past ook weinig in.Edwin 1966 heeft n 200 en die heeft er zo n ringtank in laten zetten en vind dat die tank erg snel leeg is.Dat gaat natuurlijk nog sneller bij jouw 230.

N plunjer ken ik alleen uit de poffertjesbakbranche.(daar maken ze de gaatjes mee)

Met een plunjer voor een gas instalatie wordt bedoelt een cylinder waar een pen uitkomt die bij het rijden op gas de stuwschijf van de K-jettronic naar beneden gedrukt houdt, dit om het krombuigen van de stuwschijf bij een eventuele backfire te voorkomen.

Als je overgaat op gas rijden ga dan in eerste instantie na hoeveel kilometer je gaat rijden per jaar en of je de kostenbesparing er wel in een redelijke termijn uithaalt. Als je bijv. maar 2000 km per jaar rijd met je W123, vind ik het zonde van het geld en kan je beter je auto heel laten in plaats van hem te beschadigen voor de gasinstallatie. Verder moet je na gaan hoe een grote actie radius je wil hebben. Ik sta nu om de 2dagen bij de pomp omdat mijn tank dan leeg is. zou toch liever wat meer kilometers willen maken, maar daar heb ik dus een grotere tank voor nodig en die zat er bij mij niet in.

Maar het is mijn persoonlijke mening.

ik begrijp iut je uitleg dat zo'n plunjer beschermt tegen back-fires mochten die zich voordoen.
is dat een essentieel ding, of meer voor het onzekere?

ik wil hem gewoon dagelijks gebruiken, dus die kms gaat hij wel maken.
grove berekening:
15.000km/jaar (woon-werk, vakantie, etc)
benzine 1 op 8 tegen E 1,45/l --> E 2720,- p jaar
gas 1 op 6 tegen E 0,58/l --> E 1450,- p jaar

Met zo'n conservatieve (?) berekening heb ik een tank van E1000,- met 8 maanden terug verdiend.

bij 15000 km kan het wel uit, dan heb je idd de kosten redelijk snel terugverdient.
zo'n ringtank is wel handig, maar er gaat niet veel gas in (60 liter?) en bovendien: waar laat je de reserveband in een coupe.
heb zelf ook een 230C met een LPG tank van 100 liter in de kofferbak, weinig ruimte dus voor andere spullen, dat dan weer wel.....

Correctie hij beschermd je niet tegen backfires maar beperkt de schade als gevolg van.

nou ja, volgens mij waren die plunjers oorspronkelijk bedoeld om de luchtweger open te duwen zodat je fatsoenlijk op gas kunt starten. Beperken van de schade bij een backfire (die krijg je sowieso niet als je ontsteking in orde is) is een prettige bijkomstigheid.

In een 230C (zonder E) heb je geen K-jettronic maar een carburateur. Gevolgen van een backfire zijn dan altijd nihil. Je krijgt dan ook niet zo'n plunjer, je hebt immers geen luchtweger.

Ik vind een verticale ringtank in een T (kombi) de enige juiste oplossing (ok, onderbouw is natuurlijk ook goed) Er gaat echter maar 46 liter in zo'n tank (80% is 38 liter) wat de actieradius beperkt.

In een sedan of een coupe kun je natuurlijk gewoon een cilinder tussen de achterwielen plaatsen. Dat is goedkoper en er gaat ook nog eens veel meer in.

Ik heb een honderd liter tank waar ongeveer 70 liter in gaat hier kan ik 400 plus km mee rijden
(hier tank je voor 0,45 euro zuid oost brabant)

gisteren de nieuwe 230C opgehaald! en meteen gestald bij de Benz Classis nieuwegein voor een grote beurt. ik ga eerst eens kijken hoe hij zich uberhaupt houdt.
hij loopt wat onregelmatig, lijkt zo nu en dan op 3 cilinders te draaien. ze gaan kijken wat het is, waarschijnlijk iets met de ontsteking en/of de kleppen.
di/woe klaar en dan volgend weekend op vakantie!
ik neem jullie tips mee en die plunjer lijkt alvast niet nodig
als hij zich goed houdt, ga ik er een tank in leggen.

btw: die cilindervormige tanks zijn ruimte vreters. iemand ooit een platte rechthoekige tegengekomen?

Hoi Joost,

Je kunt ook de LPG tank op de plaats van de benzine tank plaatsen,
en rechts achter de wielkast een kleinere benzine tank plaatsen, zodat je veel meer ruimte over houdt.
Dan is het goed mogelijk om een 100 liter tank te plaatsen kun je het beste de maat rond 40 cm nemen.
Als je intresse hebt hoe zo iets er uit komt te zien, wil ik je met alle plezier eem paar foto s sturen.

Mijn 230 gebruikt elke 7,25 km 1 liter gas. Dit is vrij nauwkeurig, bijna 2,5 jaar elke tankbeurt een meting gedaan. (70 tankbeurten)
Ik heb er een 100 l. tank in. Neemt wel wat plaats in, maar het hangt ervan af of je steeds je kofferbak volgooit.
Houdt er rekening mee dat je wel elke 5 a 6000 km kleppen moet stellen. Dit is van groot belang, de motor gaat, vooral bij kou, minder mooi lopen als je dit verzuimt.
Mijn auto uit '78 heeft net 65000 km gereden, dat helpt natuurlijk ook mee voor het mooi rijden. Veel succes ermee.
