Ik ben van plan om straks een grote beurt uit te voeren.
Echter zie ik door de bomen het bos niet meer. Mbt olie lees ik verschillende berichten.

M102.980 blok met 224601 km op de teller. De een zegt 10w40 half synthetisch, de ander 15w40 minerale olie?

Automaat 722.122 lees ik vooral de ATF dexron 3 olie maar ook weer een ATF automaat bak olie?

Stuurbekrachtiging ook de dexron 3 olie zoal voor de automaatbak, maar ook weer berichten over gebruik van een Stuurbekrachtigings olie?

Qua olie had ik bv de castrol gtx (high mileage) minerale olie in gedachten en voor de automaat & stuurbekrachtiging de ATF dexron 3 olie maar door diverse berichten op o.a. Facebook groepen wacht ik toch maar tot bestellen hiervan zodat ik zeker weet (op basis van de reacties) wat er eventueel in zou moeten.

M102 moet een halfsynthetische 10W40 in.

Automaat en servostuurinrichting Dexron II D olie, géén Dexron III!

Zolang je een A-merk neemt is het goed, verwacht niet dat speciale olie het veel beter doet. Regelmatig verversen doet meer.

Wij kopen meestal de Valvoline olie bij de Action 10W40 Semi-synthetische rond de 5 / 6 euro per liter. probeer deze meestal elk jaar te verversen incl olie filter. Voor de oude blokken de 15w40 miniralen olie ook van Valvoline.

10W40 is juist. Kan je ook terugvinden in de originele handleiding. Kroonolie of Castrol is prima. Dexron II D is de rode ATF inderdaad.

Bij 10W40 en ook 15W40 inderdaad staat in de handleiding “year-round use multi grade oil” 10W40 is de standaard olie die af fabriek werd gevuld. 15W40 kan ook wel, maar 10W40 is gangbaar. Je hebt overigens een handleiding van een W124.

Ik heb nog een vraagje mbt de automaat bak 722.122.

Nu is me opgevallen dat de achteruit rij lichten achter niet werken. Lampen zijn goed, zekering ook ok.

Nu las ik over een safety neutral switch op Engelse forums. Iemand misschien een idee waar deze zit? En of deze makkelijk te wisselen is?

Er zit inderdaad een elektronische selectieschakelaar op de bak zelf, aan de linker kant. De hevel van de automaatpook naar de bak zit daar vast. Onderdeelnummer A0005454206, kost 36€ ex. BTW bij de dealer.

Het verschil tussen 15W40 en 10W40 is niet zo heel erg groot, dit eerste getal 15 of 10 staat voor de viscositeit/dikte van de olie. Hoger getal is hogere viscositeit dus dikkere olie. Zoals je op de afbeelding uit de handleiding ziet heeft dit voornamelijk betrekking op de omgevingstemperatuur waarin het wordt toegepast. En kun je zien in de grafiek dat dit bij beide relatief dicht bij elkaar blijft.

Maar voor de klant die bv. in Zwitserland woont waar het 's winters aanzienlijk kouder wordt en blijft is een 10W40 een betere keuze. En in onze streek waar de winters alleen maar zachter worden en de omgevingstemperaturen hoger blijven is een 15W40 net zo goed.

Zo zie je dus ook in de grafiek dat bij warmere temperaturen 20W40 staat. Dus de W123 taxi die rond tuft in Marokko kan gemakkelijk met 20W afgevuld worden. Ga je bv. naar het noorden van Noorwegen met extreme temperaturen van onder de -20°C liever een 5W. Want daar zal je met een 15W of 20W dan met Rinse Appelstroop rondrijden voordat de motor warm is.

Voor oude motoren in onze regio zou je eventueel wat vervuiling kunnen meenemen zoals je bij sommige motoren wel eens leest gevoelig voor dichtslibben van de relatief nauwe oliekanalen. Gebruik dan liever om zeker te gaan en de onderhoudsgeschiedenis obscuur is een dunnere olie of dan wel de dunste die af fabriek wordt geadviseerd bij de gemiddelde omgevingstemperatuur. In dit geval 10W40.
