Op dit moment ben ik bezig met vervangen van de koppelingsset van mijn 240D type met 72PK van december ‘80; hele set inclusief toplager en koppelingscilinder. Bij bestellen ontving ik een verkeerde koppelingsplaat. In de verpakking (LuK) zat een plaat die op een prise-as past van 26 tanden ipv 10. Bij deze set zat wel een druklager met dezelfde hoogte als het oude lager. Nu een nieuwe LuK set ontvangen en deze keer viel me op dat het druklager hoger is dan het oude lager! Zie foto’s oude lager en nieuwe lager naast elkaar.

Zijn er verschillende lagers voor de W123 verkrijgbaar en kan ik dit lager probleemloos gebruiken? Hij neemt de hele beschikbare ruimte in beslag tot aan de rand van de pijp waarop hij wordt gemonteerd (net voor de tanden van de prise-as)!
Ik wil voorkomen dat ik later alles opnieuw moet demonteren...

Ik hoor graag jullie ervaringen/advies.

Ik zou gaan voor het lager dat dezelfde hoogte had als het oude lager.

Helaas is er bij de W123 een en ander veranderd aan de koppeling. eea had te maken met rammelende koppelingsplaten bij stationair draaien. Er zijn toen geloof ik afwisselde dikke sterke veren en dunnere veren in de koppelingsplaat geplaatst.

Wat betreft het lager, ik heb ook wel eens een verkeerd lager gekregen voor een W115 en heb toen ook gewoon een lager gekozen wat hetzelfde was als de oude, dat had succes. Met die te hoge heb je kans dat de auto niet meer koppelt.

Ik zou eens de boeken in moeten duiken om te zien of ik fotos heb van de verschillende lagers maar we gaan zo weg dus wellicht later. Maar met hetzelfde lager zou het moeten lukken.

Dank je Math! Mocht je tijd hebben dan zou ik graag nog meer informatie uit je boeken willen ontvangen over dat lager. Ik wil alles uitsluiten voordat ik terug ga naar de leverancier. Hij is van mening dat dit het juiste setje is. Alles komt uit dezelfde verpakking en deze set is duurder in aanschaf tov de eerste. Of dat de reden is waarom dit lager erbij zit, weet ik niet??? Ik heb foto’s bijgesloten voor de lagers op de prise-as. Wat wel opvalt is dat het materiaal van het nieuwe lager volledig van metaal is!

Het nieuwe lager

Ik zou het advies van Math opvolgen en het oude lager gebruiken, althans een nieuw lager met de afmeting van het oude.
Neem de beide foto’s mee naar je leverancier en laat ze hem zien.
Met het door hem geleverde lager zal de koppeling vrij rond draaien, de auto zal niet van zijn plaats komen.

Vandaag de leverancier gesproken. Hij zal zorgen voor een ander druklager. Ik ben benieuwd.

Zijn de druklagers van de W123 in verschillende hoogten verkrijgbaar? Zijn er W123 types/bakken die wel dat ene hoge lager gebruiken? Als ik het nummer (INA F- 91018) van dat lager zoek dan vind ik ook sites die wel dat type vermelden als geschikt voor de 240D!

er is een drukgroep waar een slijtring op zit en er is een drukgroep zonder slijtring.
dus het minder hoge druklager komt op de drukgroep met slijtring en de hogere zonder slijtring.

maar ik weet niet beter dan de drukgroep met slijtring word niet meer geleverd.

Begrijp ik uit je reactie dat het hoge druklager gaat samen met drukgroep die geen slijtagering heeft? Volgens mij heb ik geen drukgroep met slijtagering (zowel oude SAchs als nieuwe LuK). De set van SAchs had geen hoog druklager. Zie foto’s boven! Ik heb net onder de auto gekropen en foto gemaakt. Zie hieronder; dit is de nieuwe set. Ik heb de plaat en drukgroep al gemonteerd:

Misschien is de nieuwe set gewoon de verbeterde versie...

Met wat Wiebren zegt dan zou je toch het hoge lager moeten hebben omdat je geen drukring op de drukgroep hebt zitten. Wel gek dat op je oude drukgroep ook geen ring zat.

Het hoge lager met metaal ipv kunststof ziet er voor mijn gevoel ook wat degelijker uit maar ja, het moet wel passen.

Je kunt de bak kort monteren met het hoge lager en met enkele bouten vastzetten. Je kunt dan zonder de aandrijfas te monteren met de hand voelen of de koppeling pakt en ontkoppelt? Dat is niet zo veel meer werk.

Bij jouw hoge druklager heeft het lager wel de ondersteuning van de geleidebus als je de koppeling bedient.
Hetzelfde zie ik bij het lage lager van Harry, maar als hij het hoge lager monteert zit dat op het einde van de geleidebus, dus met de koppeling in rust heeft het lager de plaats van een koppeling die bedient word.

Misschien is het een idee om de beide drukgroepen naast elkaar te leggen, en de hoogte te vergelijken?
Of beide op te meten, al is het meten van de gemonteerde weer wat lastig. Maar een cm verschil moet je er wel uit kunnen halen, denk ik.

Wat eerder genoemd is, de bak met een paar bouten monteren, een versnelling inschakelen met een hevel, dan aan de flens achterop de bak draaien, draait allen de bak en staat de motor stil, is het lager te hoog.

Doordat ik de pas gemonteerd drukgroep (LuK) moeilijk kon meten heb ik geprobeerd beide te meten op basis van afstand tussen tanden van drukgroep en onderkant van tanden koppelingsplaat. Misschien verklaren deze afmetingen het hoogteverschil tussen druklagers. Het is ook duidelijk te zien dat de tanden van LuK drukgroep meer naar binnen zijn gedrukt (platter) dan die van de SAchs (beetje bol).

NB. Volgens mij is er geen koppelingscilinder gemonteerd op die bak van Math. Op de foto zie ik de vork volledig tegen de bak zitten. Met een gemonteerd koppelingscilinder is dat niet mogelijk; denk ik!
